		<description>I think its pretty clear as to why EMC acquired Data Domain.  If you review a number of my posts that speak to the value of data deduplication, EMC&#039;s vision for deduplicaiton and most of Mr. Tucci&#039;s thoughts on data deduplicaiton, its a perfect fit really.</description>

		<description>Uh, silly question then why did EMC buy Data Domain?  This is repudiation of the Avamar technology to some extent.  I would have argued that was also true for NetApp WRT to ASIS.
